Barron motors was established in 1960 by my father Norman Barron, started as a family run garage working alongside his brother Dennis. Barron Motors became one of the first testing stations in the area, starting testing in the early sixties. He built the business up over many years weathering both good times and bad.

After leaving school I studied motor engineering at Longlands college for 2 years, after which I went to work for my father in Langley Avenue garage in 1982.

After my father retired in 1992, I Peter Barron took over Barron Motors and moved to the Bon Lea Trading estate in the former Robinsons garage premises, where Eric Brooke joined the team alongside Philip Armstrong who came to Barron Motors as an apprentice straight from leaving school. After many years in the motor trade like my father, Eric also retired and Anthony Gott joined myself and Philip making the team at Barron Motors today.

Coming up to our 50th anniversary in 2010, I am proud to be offering the same standards of customer service as my father did many years ago.

My fathers’ advice was simple, try to give the best service at the right price, and treat your customers as you would like to be treated yourself.

I hope you have found this website useful, and hope to see you soon for all your M.O.T Service and Repair needs.
